From The Tweed Daily 01/09/1941:- A tragic ending to a holiday occurred on Saturday morning when Mrs Vera Ellen Brewer (46) died suddenly at South Murwillumbah before she could board a train to return to her home in Sydney. With her husband Mr Walter Robert Charles Brewer and their son James William Brewer (15), Mrs Brewer had spent a fortnight's holiday at Coolangatta and was returning to catch the train for Sydney. At Murwillumbah railway station she appeared to be in a state of collapse ... and she died in the ambulance. Deceased leaves 3 children ... One sister, Mrs H King, lives at Sydney and her father Mr James Guymer, lives at Coulburn
